Here are some Frequently Asked Questions.

How did you learn so much about cats?

I combined my Honors degree in psychology with three decades of rescuing cats. Then I used my experience in technical manual writing to come up with a way to help everyone solve their cat problems. Step by step.

What’s different about your cat book?

Most cat care guides will put the problems at the back of the book, after you’ve already followed their advice… and now have problems. Their problem-solving sections are too general.

When they somehow left out a step, or didn’t consider how your cat might react to their advice, it’s because:

The answer was so obvious (to them) they didn’t know it was missing.

It’s the same problem with technical manuals written by the programmers; they skip over all the parts they assume you know. Since you don’t write software… you don’t know those parts.

And…

Their books are not set up to prevent problems.

Other cat care guides run through the basics and don’t go into all the details of how we might get this wrong. They think they are telling you what you need to know, and for some people, with some cats, that’s fine.

With certain cats, or certain people, the assumptions break down. Whether the person has some misconception that is getting in the way (and the book does not address) or the cat they love has some problem that the usual cat care guides (written for the average cat) do not consider.

How does your book work?

Between all the unique people in the world, and all the unique cats in the world, there are so many combinations that the usual cat care books can’t address them all.

My unique book structure targets the problem. Because there are really only a few problems; litter box issues, food and water issues, sleeping issues, and scratching issues.

By starting with the problem you are having, my book can then lead you through the different ways your cat can be reacting to some lack of basic care. What most cat problem-solving books don’t address is how much the problem the cat is having tells me what I need to know about your cat.

Then I can direct you to exactly the right questions to ask yourself, and advise the best actions to take. Based on your and your cat.
