After apologizing (as Pammy recommends), just chill out around &quot;the cat.&quot;  Act calm but friendly, and verbally welcome him or her with a quiet greeting by name and a cat smile (slowly blink your eyes).  Patience is the main thing.  Cats are by no means fans of change.  And you&#039;re that change.  Give her or him some time, and follow Pammy&#039;s advice.  Otherwise, you&#039;re not just losing serious points in the Cat Department, you&#039;re losing even more serious ones in the Girlfriend Department!</description>
