They are small, wild, cats. They are no different from our own cats, except a lack of exposure to people from their early years, or growing up with a mother who could not relate to humans, creates a feral cat.
Yet ferals, especially young cats, have great potential to be wonderful pets. They just need to be reached.
This site has a wonderful section on taking care of ferals that everyone should bookmark in case it’s needed. Any unknown, potentially sick, cat should be approached with a combination of caution and the best possible care.
