Help with Ferals

A lovely cat site has come to my attention. It is AdvoCATS, Inc, an organization dedicated to the well being of Hawaii’s abandoned and homeless feral cat population.

What are feral cats?

They are small, wild, cats. They are no different from our own cats, except a lack of exposure to people from their early years, or growing up with a mother who could not relate to humans, creates a feral cat.

Yet ferals, especially young cats, have great potential to be wonderful pets. They just need to be reached.

This site has a wonderful section on taking care of ferals that everyone should bookmark in case it’s needed. Any unknown, potentially sick, cat should be approached with a combination of caution and the best possible care.
