YES.  I had a friend who moved, and in the confusion of moving day her beloved orange tabby boy snuck out the door of the new home.  Confused and lost, he tried to find his way to the &lt;i&gt;old&lt;/i&gt; home, dozens of miles away.  A car killed him.

Don&#039;t just keep them inside on moving day.  Keep them IN CARRIERS and then let them out in a closed room in the new place with food, water and litter, and don&#039;t open the door until all the chaos of the move is completely over.  Better that they be scared in a new room than in a new neighborhood.</description>
